The coppery sheen to the eye is always very attractive, but I have another reason for going in closer still........
If you get the light just right, and the focus even more precise, you can get the reflection from the frog's eye. So this is how I look to a frog.

"Looks to have had a decent summer"! Gosh - great way of putting this soggy summer.:) I took a torch out the other night looking for beasties and noticed a big fat frog hopping across the tarmac. Didn't take a photo because I have my great froggy shot from last year thanks to one of the cats.
"Looks to have had a decent summer" might be an understatement.I think when our Australian summer approaches and I'm game enough to put on the swimmers, someone will say of me, "looks to have had a decent winter!". I love your frog.Great photography!
